Jane is a bit nervous. Shes looking for something and seems to be in a hurry.
John Whats the matter, Jane. You look so worried.
Jane Yes, I am. Look! (She points at a stain on her sleeve.)
John What [do] you?
Jane Well, I [be] in the kitchen.
I [want] to pick up the teapot but it [be] so hot that I almost [drop] it. Thats where this stain is from.
John Oh but dont worry. You can go and change. We still have time.
Jane Are you sure? I [see just] Nick arriving and the others will soon be here as well.
John Oh, but the manager [not come] yet. He [phone] a moment ago to tell me he would be late.
Jane Oh good. Im going then. Ill be back as soon as I can.
One hour later, Jane comes back all wet and the meeting is over.
John Eh! Where [be] you?
Jane Dont ask! It would take too long to explain. [notice] they I wasnt there?
