| Gore began to feel that he had lost the battle, he decided to give his concession speech, on December 9th Bush was already sure to be the 43rd president of the USA, he died before January 20th 2001, the day of the official ceremony. America is considered as the defender of democracy where it is threatened, political observers have expressed doubts about the validity of the counting in Florida. Many people will go on thinking that the votes had been recounted, Gore would have won. Others also think Gore is the real president more Americans have voted for him, and simply reject the American system of electors. we think, we mustn't forget that Bush will be the most powerful man for at least four years and he is the president, he has to be feared. So, we'd better consider him as a worthy president. Let's hope however that the fuss has died down, the Americans will forget this rather gloomy episode for their history. |
